More About Nancy
As a child of 13, Nancy went to confirmation class at her church. She had questions about the cross and Jesus which her pastor had no answers for. She prayed a simple prayer. “God, whatever a real live Christian is, I want to be one for a whole week.” She sought answers for a year as she pieced together the meaning of the Gospel. That week never ended!
Nancy realized what she had missed by not hearing the Gospel while growing up in the church, and wanted children like her to have the opportunity to hear it there and everywhere. She decided to study Christian Education at Messiah College. She earned a second major in Missions. The two dovetailed perfectly to prepare her for 1for50. She is in awe as she sees the Lord work in the lives of leaders as they discover or renew an awareness of God’s love for children and their whole perspective changes. And that passion for reaching, discipling and empowering children then is passed on to the 100’s or 1000;s of children they impact. And it spreads! What a privilege to have a front row seat!
Nancy has been doing children’s ministry for 40+ years and has been training internationally for 15 years. Nancy has written curriculum, taught children missions, and loves teaching 5th and 6th grade Sunday School. 5th and 6th grade is her favorite, and she would love to tell you why! She and her husband live in Pennsylvania in the U.S. and live in a church they converted into their home. They have 10 grandchildren who they enjoy being with and discipling,
